VODAFONE UK APRIL FOOLS CAMPAIGN 2019

A highlight in my time in both Drive and the Brand team at Vodafone UK has been the in-housing of our April Fools campaign in 2019. This opportunity was identified by the Drive SEO team as a chance to push the Vodafone Brand creative and tone of voice, stretching the premium nature of the brand appropriately into the realms of self-aware, tongue-in-cheek British humour, paired with high-end, abstract visuals and features similar to the phone launches released earlier in 2019 for the Samsung Galaxy S10+ and Huawei P30 Pro.

This campaign was ideated completely in-house within a bespoke project team, and met with a positive response by the heads of Social, Legal and Brand, as well as users across our social channels. I managed the creation of assets, collaboration between teams, sign-off from senior stakeholders across the Brand Leadership Team, Legal, Social and PR, and end-to-end delivery of the project.

The storyboard, animation and web design was completed by myself, with SEO creative copy and web build by the wider Drive SEO team. The social assets, also created in Drive, were launched collaboratively with our Brand colleagues in the Social team.
